DM1 Blue Eyes White Dragon Guide:

The DM1 Blue Eyes White Dragon has two variations:

1) A “NOT FOR SALE” version

2) A non “NOT FOR SALE” Version

Although both variations are rare, the “NOT FOR SALE” version is more commonly seen than the non-NFS version. The “NOT FOR SALE” version was included in the 1998 PlayStation Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Capsule: Breed and Battle video game (the first Yu-Gi-Oh video game ever). Although nobody knows how the non-NFS version got into circulation, the rumor is that this version was potentially given to employees or game developers, though there is no confirmation of this theory. Authentic non-NFS versions are extremely scarce.

As shown above, there are some murmurs that fakes of these cards exist.  The biggest differences in the cards is linked to the shoddy rosette pattern (similar to some MTG fakes). Though there is no documented confirmation of fakes leaking into circulation, there are very strong thoughts within the community that these counterfeit cards were extremely well-made back in the day. Another “tell” is the coloring on the card under magnification. Though alleged fakes are rumored to exist in both versions, the non-NFS version is rumored to have a significantly higher quantity of alleged fakes in circulation.  Please note that while these are rumored to be counterfeit, there is no concrete documented evidence of such occurrence to this date.
